Design Inspiration 
"While I work in a number of mediums including performance, painting, installation, and mysticism, illustrating nude figures is one of my most synthesized forms of expression. I playfully considered shape, movement, and gesture when designing this wallpaper while also suggesting certain themes in the span of my work. Subtle details like smirks and body hair recall my negation of gender norms while the cards act as oracles or just a reminder to be playful. The figures are at once individuated and the same, reminding one of the interconnectedness of people that persists in our acceptance of quirks or differences."
 
About Angel Garcia
Angel Lauren Garcia is an interdisciplinary Cuban-American artist living and working in Miami, FL. Her current work is focused on derailing imposter syndrome, gender bias, and stereotypes through personal critique. Exposure, expectation, and fetishization are major themes in her process that are used to subvert institutional and patriarchal systems.
